  • Osteen Mango - tropicalfruitforum. com
Osteen Mango While further investigating Osteen as a potential commercial cultivar, I found it interesting that these trees are kept at Dwarf size around 6ft, in one of the following videos, you can see they have some growing in a green house of sorts, I am guessing its to protect against cold snaps One thing is clear to me, this variety does look like a good candidate for high density

Maha Chanok Mango To me, in my all tie top 5 would be Mahachanok, Coco Cream, Orange Sherbert, Angie, Southern Blush Honorable mention go to: Ugly Betty O-2 Oh Too, Mallika (though this could potentially knock out any of the top 5 on any given day), Lemon Zest and the one that went by Mounds, or D-4 I believe Don't get me wrong, most of these are newer varieties and I in no way would count

Can anyone post pics of

  • Mango Taproot - Tropical Fruit Forum
Mango Taproot I was watching a video on grafting mangoes and noticed the grafter cut the taproot off the seedling leaving only fibrous roots and when I planted a few new trees recently (3 gallons), they didn't seem to have taproots Is it preferable to cut the taproot off a rootstock? I thought part of the reason for using a seedling over something like air layering was for a strong taproot?
