Sailing in New Mexico?? - SailNet Community I lived in New Mexico, Albuquerque, for about 5 years and left in '89 Most sailing occurs on Heron Lake up near Los Ojos and on Elephant Butte late down near Truth or Consequences I used to sail a lot on Cochiti lake which is between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, because I could head up after work for a sail
Sail -vs- Motor Cruising? - SailNet Community I am new to the site and have been a motor boater all my life I am in the process of learning to sail and planning my retairment in a couple (2) years I want to be able to follow the seasons and cruise liveaboard for a good number of years I have assumed it will be more economical to do this
Hunter Sailboat Quality? - SailNet Community The original post was regarding a 32 y o boat Hunter or any 32 y o boat will obviously need a survey A 32 y o hunter will probably be a very inexpensive price As posted in earlier post, I sail on two family owned Hunters Both newer and also maintained well As I posted earlier- be it a Boat, RV, Auto or even a Home
Sailing on the Tennessee River - SailNet Community There are better sailing grounds in TN other than the TN river such as Lake Cherokee and Lake Wautauga If I was to do it over again I would look at a trailer sailer that is easily rigged, easy to launch and retrieve on a "shallow" boat ramp but is comfortable enough for two to spend a weekend Lake Wautauga has some pretty good size sail boats
Freedom 36 38 | SailNet Community Full disclosure, own a F38 Have never run numbers on it but find it a very comfortable boat with regard to its motion on the water and we sail in some real chop in Buzzards Bay I believe that my boat is solid below the waterline and then goes to a cored system, but only dealing with my geriatric memory at this moment Best of luck
